[Rediscovering the timeless appeal of this classic small car]
The Mini, which debuted in 1959 and remained beloved for 41 years until 2000 without any model changes, was initially sold under two brands: Austin and Morris. It had an innovative mechanism for its time, with a front engine, front-wheel drive, and two-box design. Despite its length of just over 3 meters, it secured interior space for four adults by placing small 10-inch wheels at the four corners of the body. As a great pioneer of small mass-market cars, it offered high practicality and nimble handling, leading to the successive appearance of high-performance versions. In particular, the Austin Mini Cooper 1275S, which appeared in 1964, was equipped with a 1275cc engine that produced a maximum output of 75 horsepower, with twin carburetors and various tuned parts. It attracted attention in motorsport as well, further increasing the Mini's popularity.
